A Waltz along the Danube – Glynde Easton 2016 by Lyn Russell

Glynde Easton 1Fears of the inclement weather were dispelled as once again opera fans braved the outdoors to join Frits and Sara for their biennial staging of Glynde Easton.

The Waltz along the Danube performed by Opera Danube was outstanding and to make the evening even more memorable our prayers were answered when the sun shone.

The four singers and their accompanist performed a wide range of opera favourites including, The Merry Widow and La Boheme, whilst over 200 people enjoyed their picnic in the grounds of Dymoke house. Once again Gynde Easton was an outstanding success made even better by the weather.

Frits and Sara’s generosity and hospitality in arranging this event to raise money for our Itchen Valley Churches is very much appreciated.

Revd Alex Pease adds:  Yes thank you so much to Frits and Sara for the huge amount of work and their generous hospitality for the evening which raises essential funding for our continued mission in the Itchen Valley Churches.  Just brilliant!
