The Faure Requiem at St Mary’s Easton

I think it is the standard of the performance which is so striking and so impressive about the Faure concert which so many of us enjoyed this evening.

After the wonderful Mozart’s Ave Verum, Stainer’s God so loved the world, and Nardone’s I give to you a new commandment, we heard the seven beautiful movements of Faure’s Requiem.  There were really excellent solos by Charlotte Upfold, Robert Ormiston and the organ was played brilliantly by John Dover.

Thank you to our talented Director of Music David Truslove who conducted the concert and who has a remarkable talent for helping our singers really excel.  A wonderful evening and a great joy to have such a good musical event in the Itchen Valley.
